On Friday I had just got back from a walk with Mia. I laid her down for a nap and turned on my computer to check the news. Devastation filled my computer screen. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. I realize my feelings have no importance today. I could talk about how I felt all weekend, but it’s not about me. It is about Newtown and the parents who lost their children. The families who lost great teachers. The hero's who put lives before their own. I watched the President’s speech last night in tears of sadness, but tears of overwhelming hope. Hope that God will heal those who are suffering. Hope for all who are involved will learn to live again. And hope that they know that the whole nation is mourning with them. Including my little family all the way on the opposite side of the country. You are in our prayers and thoughts constantly.
Here is an article from CNN on ways we can help Newtown.
